By now, the Honda company is one of world leaders among manufacturers of cars, motorcycles, scooters, engines, and also power supply products. The history of the company counts almost 60 years already. All of this began in 1946, when the Japanese race driver Soichiro Honda in his age of 40 years founded a small factory for manufacture of engines and mopeds. But two years later the dynamically developing company was re-registered and got the name which is now a favorite word of motor amateurs of the entire world: "Honda Motor Company". 1949 also became significant for Honda. It was marked by the release of the first motorcycle model, named "Dream". And in 1962, the company started to manufacture automobiles.

One may judge about the quality of the work of the company by its achievements in sports. The Honda team has been taking part during a long period of time in motorcycle races practically of all classes, bringing up many champions during this time. Honda may be also proud of victories in several prestigious annual auto races. But the most important achievement describing the company as one of the leaders in the world market of auto manufacturers is the participation of Honda in the "Formula-1" auto races.

Nowadays, the top priority direction of activities of the Honda company is creation of ecologically clean cars, distinguished by zero levels of harmful emissions. A revolutionary model of such type became the "Honda EV PLUS" automobile, released in 1996. Currently, there exist Honda fan clubs practically in every country of the world, which help, to a certain extent, to the development of the company. Besides that, there exist in the territory of the Russian Federation several sale centers of Honda cars, which have arrangements with the company.

The most popular models ever produced by the "Honda Motor Company" are undoubtedly "Honda Accord", "Honda Civic", and also "Honda CR-V" automobiles. These models are popular not only in Japan, but also all over the world, including Russia.
